For this edition we invited some of the finest Belgian drum’n'bass dj’s combining many years of experience, unexplored quality and upcoming talent bursting with energy!

Fuzz Flavourz 3, Friday 2nd of May 2008

Spring is back in the country and so is Fuzz Flavourz! For this edition we bring you one of the hottest names of the moment, The Brookes Brothers!

All this will go down in the lovely venue Cocteau, in Jan Palfijnstraat 17 in Ghent on the 2nd of May. Don’t miss out! Check out the flyer: here.

Fuzz Flavourz is looking for a dj…

.. to warm up for our 3rd edition, on friday the 2nd of May!

The Belgian dnb scene is alive and kicking, now more than ever! Monthly and weekly parties are popping up in all big city’s, more and more youthouses serve bass and promotors are not too shy to invite dj’s and producers from abroad. Youngsters are catching up with the drum’n'bass vibe, and many of those addicts have bought a pair of decks and started spinning their own personal favourites.

We are looking for talented new dj’s who are up for a challenge! These are the rules:

1) Make a mix, upload it and let us know at Treewize.Monkeyz@gmail.com
2) The mix must be made with vinyl or cd’s and has a minimum length of 40 minutes.
3) You must be available to play on friday the 2nd of May in Ghent.
4) Deadline for entries is friday 21st of March at midnight.

Here are a few tips:

- If you don’t have any webspace available, use for example megaupload.com to get your mix online.
- Don’t worry too much if your mix has a few mistakes, we’re looking for a certain vibe, not technical perfection.
- We welcome all styles and subgenres.

The winner will be selected by Cybazz, Boz & Monk and gets to set the vibe on Fuzz Flavourz 3. There will be no fee, but you will share the line up with some of the most experienced dj’s in town. The full line up will be announced on the 28th of March.

Fuzz Flavourz 3 is coming!

Treewize Monkeyz have been teaming up again and are preparing the third edition of Fuzz Flavourz! The night will take place at the lovely venue Cocteau in Ghent on Friday the 2nd of May.

Treewize Monkeyz @ STEAM in Decadance, Gent

This Wednesday, Treewize Monkeyz are lined up on STEAM, the legendary weekly drum’n'bass night at Decadance in Ghent. They will be warming up for current heavyweight dj’s Z-Nox & Ebbman.

STEAM has been around for over 6 years and was started by Rudy Rocket & Soul MC. Over the years it has built a rock solid reputation, starring the most respected and established dj’s as well as fresh newcomers to the scene. Today the concept is continued together with Mc Mush and still delivers weekly nights with an unmatched intensity.

Treewize Monkeyz and Mc Mush on Jungletrain

Tomorrow, Treewize Monkeyz are doing a live show on Jungletrain. Nasty Trickz headman KaytodaD celebrates his Bday, so we’ll make this one special!

No other than Mc Mush, Belgian number one mc, will join us and provide lyrical support for the night. We’ll do everything to bring this honour to justice and get some fuzzy vibes on the show!

Fuzz Flavourz 2, Wednesday 16th of May

Fuzz Flavourz 2 is a fact, and how! No less than The Funktastics from Paris will be representing this edition as a headliner! Check out the press release below and look out on the street to catch a flyer!

Fuzz Flavourz is more than ready for it’s second edition!

With The Funktastics we bring you one of the most promising names of the moment. Their 12″ on Friction’s Shogun offshoot label proves the potential of these guys and rumour goes there’s a lot more to follow! Do not be mistaken though, being around for over 10 years, they packed their stuff together and prepared a booming set filled with surprises and spiced up with live elements. Not to be missed!

Replacing Symmetric and Jakuza, Lokal will be representing the Dutch affinity with quality flavours. As a dj, and and as a promotor with his crews VOW and Future Research, this man has a clear view on the sound he’s pushing forward. Energetic and uplifting beats are witnessed by those who attend Champion Sound, host of the biggest UK names in the scene.

With Konnekt we add an extra dimension to the line up. There’s no disturbing this dj as his main and ultimate focus lies on producing the most refined and subtle sounds. Clear your mind and connect!

Flame has been on our wishlist from day one! Becoming a dj was easy, as she is surrounded by Belgium’s essential drum’n'bass pioneers Dobe’n'Daze and Juice Blenders. Frequenting parties of only the highest quality, Flame’s expierence added up to where she is today. Her unique vision on the musical experience will translate into a set to look out for!

Though being around for quite a while, it’s only now that Treewize Monkeyz are popping up in the scene, but more then ever ready to tear things up! With each member having his own musical background, there’s no predicting of where their set will bring you. Be not prepared! Be curious!

On stage or frontrow, a party is not a party without the Smokehdz! For this night they are pushing Mc Rx forward to get the crowd moving. Growing as an mc alongside Mush, this youngster is ready to feel the crowd and .. hype the music!

This evening will take place on wednesday, 16th of May, in Tequila Gent, Stalhof 13. Entrance is 5 euro and there’s no presale, doors open at 22PM. It’s a small venue so we recommend you to come early!

Treewize Monkeyz on Nasty Trickz!

This Friday, Treewize Monkeyz are invited to spin a two hour set for Nasty Trickz! You can listen worldwide from 8PM ’till 11PM on Jungletrain.net, the world’s most respected internet drum’n'bass radio. The last hour will be flavoured by NT resident, KaytodaD.
